State of the unions – 329th Edition

Modern union busting doesn’t involve violent sabotage and Pinkerton guards. Instead, it happens in statehouses and city halls, where public officials whack them around like budgetary piñatas, threatening to break contracts and decertify unions unless they agree to radical concessions. It’s not just happening in Wisconsin. It’s happening here, too. (We’re lookin’ at you, North Las Vegas.) So we thought it would be a good time to check in on the public employee and service unions to see how they’re weathering this anti-union storm.
