Blasting the past – 123th Edition

The Moulin Rouge suffered a very dull, un-Las Vegas fate. Abandoned in 1955 after five months of operation, the resort and casino gradually succumbed to decay, and then arson. The city’s first integrated casino collapsed not because of implosion, but because of neglect, crushed under the weight of code violations and municipal fines.
